Weekend Quotables
Trump calls on his base to "beat the hell" out of leftists.
Hacks star Hannah Einbinder at the #Emmys.
In her closing line, Einbinder declared: "I just want to say, go birds, fuck ICE, and free Palestine."
She also wore a red Artists4Ceasefire pin, aligning herself with over 4,000 artists who pledged not to collaborate with Israeli institutions they deem complicit in apartheid and genocide. The crowd at the Peacock Theater erupted in applause, while the internet lit up with praise, criticism, and everything in between. Paramount, which aired the Emmys, later condemned the pledge associated with the Artists4Ceasefire movement. Fuck Paramount.

Donald Trump’s response to the death of Charlie Kirk
Asked how he would like his supporters to respond to Kirk’s assassination, Trump told a reporter, “He was an advocate of nonviolence. That’s the way I like to see people.”
But to another question, he replied, “We have radical left lunatics out there and we just have to beat the hell out of them.” — Politico

Democrats lying low
Even with congressional elections on the horizon, and the anti-Trump resistance movement continuing to surge forward, traditional Democratic Party leaders are lying low. Nothing but crickets in the Kirk shooting aftermath. No, they haven’t gone underground. They’ve just deserted the party’s base, and their message has turned to one of complicity and capitulation.
A great example:
Bill Daley
“Trump is the only one who can [unite the country] because he represents everyone. A senator, or member of Congress, or mayor — they just represent a small portion of the country. It’s the president who can speak up about how to bring the country together.” — Politico

Junior’s hero was “ASSINATED.”
Ben Meiselas
As I told Governor Moore, watching Trump invent $79 trillion of revenue out of thin air is like watching a con artist repeat, “Just two more weeks, we’re almost there.” — MeidasTouch
Brian Kilmeade, Fox
Fox News host Kilmeade suggested the best way to deal with the unhoused is to execute them.
“Involuntary lethal injection or something,” Kilmeade said. “Just kill ’em.” — Sept. 10 episode of Fox & Friends
Kilmeade was simply playing off the words of his slain friend Charly Kirk, who repeatedly framed homelessness as a matter of personal choice and moral failure, rather than systemic breakdown. In one segment, he declared:
“They should be in mental institutions, put them in mental asylums… The streets are not your home. We have to have order.” — Media Matters
Since Nazi comparisons and references to Hitler are currently being discouraged, I will leave it at that.
